I wrote this at a time when I was wondering what to do with my life. I went for a hike to get some insight, and this is what I saw.

A foggy mood has settled in these mountains
I can’t see beyond the nearest pines
I sought this peak to catch a glimpse of where my future lies
To see beyond the chaos in my mind

And the journey is a trail as it wanders through the sky
Ride an updraft and a prayer to discover you can fly
When it dives into the ocean and your breath becomes the tide
The song becomes the singer and the truth becomes your life

Now the fog has settled like an ocean with islands poking through across this sea
I feel the future calling me to sail upon this white
Navigate through fear and trust my dreams

Today the fog lifted the valley sparkles green
A breeze is whispering, “You can do anything”
The future like a winding river beckons, glistening
A hawk soars by and through the sky her challenge rings
